BellyBio Interactive Breathing App Reviews

Great Tool

I was well impressed by this meditation tool. You put it on your lower abdomen (belly) and breathe in and out deeply. This enables you to train your mind to use belly breathing we should use, instead of upper chest breathing which causes stress and poor oxygenation. After a while of wave sounds (on a beach) turn into music to let you know you have entered into a proper deep breathing state. I like to use the waves. This uses the tilt sense of the device, hence the pants thing. You can select from three musics, or buy new ones if you wish. I have no idea why it gets so low ratings, because its a great tool to meditate to and to take a look at your breathing rate... As well as a wonderful way to breathe out stress and panic. Many applications. There is a great readout feature to peruse your breathing rate.

Opens, but crashes my iPad

Perhaps it is my fault since this is an iPhone app. But I thought I would try (most iphone apps work on the ipad) as it sounds so cool. It opens and has the warning of how not to use this and then nothing is operable. I had to reboot my iPad.

I’m a psychotherapist and I teach my patients deep belly breathing to help them lower anxiety and become more grounded. The Belly Biofeedback application is a fabulous accompaniment and I recommend that my patients download the application and use it as part of their relaxation strategy.

audio issues

After i updated my 5s to iOS 10 audio hasnt been playing. I tried turning my phone off and on again but nothing changed. Hope this issue gets fixed soon. Other than that its a good app and helps motivate me to actually sit and do deep abdominal breathing. One issue is i cant go back to my old breathing sessions and look at the graph of how i was breathing. And when i do it with my current session the line goes red.

No sound since iPhone upgrade

I upgraded to iPhone 7 and there is no sound. Its so disappointing because this app was fantastic and now I cant use it. I will give it a 5 star rating if they fix the issue.

Doesnt work

This is ridiculous and doesnt work. The amount of effort it takes to get the positioning right cancels out any tranquility this app would actually provide.

Love it!!

Seriously great app with a quirky sense of humor as well. Ill use it often.

Just saved me $200-THE BEST APP

Im a retired doc with mildly elevated blood pressure. I have been using a stand alone similar device ($200+) which is quite effective in reducing stress and bp. But this app is equally effective, free, gives better data and always with me. Im embarassed to say how many apps I have, but lets just say this is #1 out of 225! The big caveat is you do have to be comfortable with diaphragmatic or belly breathing. Id just like to see a timer on the app, although each segment seems to be about 6 minutes. And I like the humor. GREAT JOB

Been waiting for this app

After three years wit iPod touch this is my first review because this app deserves it. If you truly know how to belly breath this app is for you. If you dont you will learn how

First real biofeedback app

Good app for those who can belly breat. Wish you could just see the chart and not the inhale exhale things as they do not work. But can really see your progress on the chat. Great idea!

Want questions answered !

I love this app,but I have so far gotten no response to many questions. Would love to know where to the chat is.

Love it!

It really works. I tried varying the length of my inhalations and exhalations and found that the timing of the waves and music really do adjust. Its something I use when meditation feels like too much effort.

Fun!

I use this app before I go to bed... I must have a very stressful day!

Hm

This application has a lot of potential, but it is glitch-infested and the UI isnt the most welcoming. Might download again if updated and bettet, but for now I will stick to something else.

Love it

Its very easy to use and effective

Wow.

This app is awesome. That it is offered for free is a real service. A version that is meant to work more on the iPad would be awesome, though I use it on my iPod touch. A mode to teach beginners would also garner more stars and good reviews. Im already pretty good at breathing like this though, so it is a great way to get some feedback!

Great!

It is very relaxing. It would be 5 stars except for bugs, e.g., it sometimes crashes.

One of the best apps

Loved, loved this app! Ive always wanted to properly include breathing exercise in my meditative practices, since so many guru-types recommend it -- but I was always seriously distracted. the soothing, slow in/out "air" sound creates a desire to breath slowly and the fabulous Baroque strings with suspended 4ths that move as slowly as you breath in and out are heavenly. Really! I did 17 minutes on my first try. Highly, highly recommended.

Relaxing

This is such a great tool to help calm you. I have severe chronic headaches & migraines & this has helped ease some tension.

Most useful meditation app on the market

So pretty much this thing really helps you know your breathe exponentially. If your not familiar with yogic meditation or breath focused meditation than this app can greatly reduce your learning curve if you intend to learn to meditate fast.
